Due to continued expansion, we are currently recruiting for an Operations & Maintenance Manager for a key project within the Dublin area.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the O&M Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the plant's operational and maintenance activities. This includes ensuring optimal performance, compliance with health and safety standards, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to achieve plant targets and service excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Managing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the plant, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and availability.
* Overseeing the planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
* Monitoring plant performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
* Oversee and manage all site personnel, including operators, technicians, and support staff to ensure effective execution of operations and maintenance activities.
* Providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to team members while fostering a positive team culture.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) regulations and company policies.
* Promoting a safety-first culture through regular Toolbox Risk Assessments (TRA) and Workplace Hazard Assessments (WHA).
* Being the primary points of contact for the customer in the Plant Managers absence and handling all queries in a professional manner
* Working closely with Operations Management at OFS HQ to report performance, escalate issues, and align on strategic goals.
* Preparing and delivering routine reports on plant performance, maintenance activities, and compliance.
* Ensuring all documentation is maintained in accordance with company standards and industry regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent industry experience.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar O&M or plant management role
* Strong experience in the operations and maintenance of Reciprocating engines (MAN, Caterpillar, Wartsila, Jenbacher etc)
* Strong knowledge of plant systems, maintenance best practices, and operational workflows.
* Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing contractors or external service providers.
* Full working rights in Ireland at the time of application
* Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and risk management frameworks.
* Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
