Position Summary
A vacancy exists for a Social Care Leader – Person in Charge – Specific Purpose contract, in a community residential service for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism based in Churchtown, D14.
The successful candidate will lead a skilled staff team to deliver a high-quality service for five people, working closely with a multidisciplinary team and families.
The key responsibility is to provide person-centred supports to individuals with changing, age-related needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred supports and services to residents in a community residential setting.
Lead and supervise a team of staff, ensuring they are skilled, motivated and meet high standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals and families to plan and deliver assisted living and support.
Ensure compliance with HIQA regulations and HSE policies.
Prepare and maintain accurate reports and documentation.
Manage the operational aspects of the residential service, including budgeting and resourcing.
Essential Criteria
At least five years of experience working with intellectual disability in a community setting.
Understanding of HIQA regulations.
Minimum of three years' experience in a management role in health or social care.
Excellent facilitation, leadership and communication skills.
Strong report-writing ability.
Highly organised, motivated, flexible and able to problem-solve.
Commitment to empowerment of service users and their families.
Desirable Criteria
Full, clean driver's licence and willingness to drive as part of duties.
Qualifications
QQI Level 7 Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies (Disability) – Open Training College.
Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies delivered by an Institute of Technology, DIT or National University of Ireland.
Relevant health or social care management qualification.
Salary Scale
Successful candidate will be paid in line with the March **** HSE revised consolidated Social Care Leader pay scales (point 1: €55,793 – point 7: €65,155 per annum, based on a full-time 39-hour week).
