We're looking for a capable and reliable Chef to run a busy kitchen and deliver quality, comforting food with consistency and efficiency. This role suits someone who understands the rhythm of a service, can keep standards high even on hectic shifts, and takes pride in producing generous, well-executed dishes.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook a full range of classics and seasonal specials to spec.Maintain smooth service during peak periods while upholding quality and presentation.Manage stock, place orders, control waste, and monitor food costs.Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, safety regulations, and allergen procedures.Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with EHO expectations.Train and support kitchen staff so the team can operate confidently and independently.Collaborate on menu updates, specials boards, and cost-effective recipe improvements.Handle equipment properly and report any maintenance issues promptly.Qualifications:Previous experience in a kitchen or fast-paced casual dining environment.Strong knowledge of food safety, kitchen organisation, and efficient line management.Ability to work proactively during busy periods and maintain consistency.Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required; Level 2 or Level 3 preferred.Attributes:Practical, calm, and adaptable under pressure.Enjoys classic, hearty cooking and understands customer expectations in a pub setting.Strong communicator with a team-focused mindset.Reliable, time-efficient, and comfortable taking ownership of the kitchen.Job Type: Full-timePay: €27,000.00-€35,000.00 per yearBenefits:Food allowanceOn-site parkingSick payWork Location: In person
