About the Role
This position involves leading a team of production operators to achieve hourly and daily targets, while maintaining quality standards and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures.
The Team Production Manager is responsible for ensuring all products are assembled, tested, and handled in line with documented specifications and processes. This includes communicating quality issues daily and counseling/retraining operators on quality issues.
Main responsibilities include:
* Monitoring scrap levels and reducing them accordingly.
* Meeting attendance/timekeeping targets and reporting weekly to Supervisor on absence.
* Conducting informal discussions, counseling sessions, and issuing disciplinary action as required.
* Inducting new employees and ensuring they are familiar with product, process, work instructions, and DDS.
* Resolving operational issues, such as workload and tooling, and reporting grievances to Supervisor.
Key Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require strong leadership and communication skills. You should also have excellent problem-solving abilities and be able to work well under pressure.
You will need to be proficient in operating various equipment and machinery, as well as being able to train others on new procedures.
