Hospital Kitchen Porter Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Hospital Kitchen Porter to join our team in Connacht. As a key member of the kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and supporting the chefs with daily tasks.
Responsibilities:
* Working on the main wash-up area and heavy-duty pot-wash
* General day-to-day cleaning of the kitchen
* Helping the chefs with daily tasks such as goods-in and goods-out stock control, cleaning equipment, and adhering to HACCP procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess at least five years' experience working in a hospital or nursing home setting or come from a high-volume catering commercial background. They should have excellent English language skills (written and verbal), ability to adapt quickly under pressure, valid work permits for full-time work in Ireland without restrictions, flexibility with working hours, i.e., day time or night shift when required.
