A well-established mechanical contractor is seeking a
Senior Mechanical Estimator / Quantity Surveyor
to join their team in Cork.

sectors.
Role Overview
As a Senior Mechanical Estimator / QS, you will be responsible for the commercial and financial management of mechanical projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed tenders and quotations from drawings and specifications
Conduct quantity take-offs and develop pricing documents
Source and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
Procure materials in line with tender requirements
Manage client accounts including interim valuations and final accounts
Process payment certificates and ensure timely payments
Evaluate tenders against construction progress and variations
Track project costs and labour throughout the lifecycle
Identify and report commercial risks
Contribute to project scheduling and liaise with clients
Ideal Candidate Profile
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5+ years' experience in mechanical contracting or estimating
Proven track record in medium to large-scale mechanical projects
Strong understanding of contract conditions and claims preparation
Skilled in project measurement and financial management
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
