Fota Island Resort are currently recruiting for a Front Office Manager to join our professional team in the Resort.


Overview

We are looking for a Front Office Manager who will oversee the smooth operation of the front desk, concierge, and Nights team, ensuring that each guest receives a warm welcome and outstanding service throughout their stay. The ideal candidate will lead with a guest service mindset, inspire the team, and uphold the high standards associated with Fota Island Resort.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the front office teams to deliver exceptional service and efficiency.
2. Coordinate guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accuracy and warmth at every touchpoint.
3. Manage room allocations for guests.
4. Handle guest complaints and resolve issues with professionalism and care.
5. Manage roster, hours, and time management.
6. Collaborate with the finance department to manage cash, reconcile folios, and oversee accounting processes.
7. Work closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Maintenance, and F&B teams to ensure seamless guest service.
8. Manage department schedules, performance, training, and guest feedback.
9. Ensure adherence to brand standards and operational procedures.
10. Stay informed about industry trends and innovations within the sector.


Qualifications and Skills

* Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel environment.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera Cloud).
* Experience with rosters, budgets, and forecasting.
* Professional appearance and demeanor, with a hospitable approach.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle guest issues diplomatically.
* Problem solver, results-oriented, proactive, innovative, adaptable, and motivated.
