Medical Secretary (Patient Advocacy & Feedback, Busy Medical Facility Dublin 8) €19.57 per hour Our client, a progressive public sector organisation, is seeking a Grade IV Medical Secretary to join the Patient Advocacy & Feedback Service in a busy medical facility in Dublin 12. This full-time temporary role (to February 2026) focuses on supporting patients and families, listening to their experiences and helping ensure their concerns are addressed. For details, contact Jane Ryan at GHL Recruitment. Location: Busy medical facility, Dublin 8 Salary: €19.57 per hour Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday (9am5pm). Temporary. Key Responsibilities Act as a first point of contact for parents, guardians and patients with queries, concerns, feedback or compliments about healthcare services. Manage the departments phone lines and inbox, providing prompt, calm and empathetic responses. Support the Patient Advocacy & Feedback team in reviewing issues raised and coordinating appropriate follow-up with clinical and administrative staff. Draft clear, professional correspondence and documentation that reflects the patients experience and the organisations response. Record all communications accurately, maintaining comprehensive, confidential records throughout the process. Essential Requirements Strong administrative experience within a healthcare or public-sector setting. Excellent phone manner and IT proficiency (MS Office, Outlook). High level of empathy, discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information. Minimum of Leaving Certificate plus one of the following: NFQ Level 5/6 qualification in Office Administration, Business or Healthcare Administration Or equivalent Grade IV HSE administrative experience Desirable Requirements Previous experience in patient liaison, advocacy, feedback or service-user support. Experience working in a hospital or large public-sector organisation. Typing speed of 55 wpm or higher. Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
