Senior HR Generalist – Vertiv
We are looking for a Senior HR Generalist to align business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.
Job Description
The Senior HR Generalist position serves as a consultant to management on human resource‑related issues and acts as a strategic business partner, change agent, employee champion and HR process/policy expert to support business strategy and objectives.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria
* Act as a single point of contact for employees and managers in the business unit
* Partner with assigned business to identify HR needs and develop executive HR strategies that support business objectives
* Coach business leaders to enhance employee engagement and foster a high‑performing culture
* Identify team development gaps and facilitate activities to improve collaboration and team performance
* Assess organizational needs and work with leaders to change and improve structure, processes, systems, and rewards necessary to achieve desired culture and objectives
* Serve as a change agent to manage organizational change and ensure achievement of desired results
* Advocate for employees by promoting the employer value proposition and driving employee engagement and communication to become the employer of choice
* Act as HR policy and process expert and collaborate with COEs in workforce planning, talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management, learning and development, and HRIS to deliver high‑impact HR services and programs
* Conduct weekly meetings with respective business units
* Provide HR guidance to line management when appropriate
* Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
* Manage and resolve complex employee relation issues with thorough and objective investigations
* Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day‑to‑day management of employees, reduce legal risk, and ensure regulatory compliance; partner with legal department as needed
Required / Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science, human resources management or related discipline
* 8–10 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues
* Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and continuous improvement mindset
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively via phone or in person
* Experience in organization development assessment and change management
* Strong global and cultural awareness
* Expertise in talent acquisition, total rewards, learning and development, employee relations and communication
* Experience building relationships and strategic alliances internally and externally
