We are presently recruiting for an Client Accountant, for a busy and well-established practice in Tralee, County Kerry. You will be a trusted advisor to your client and will prepare financial statements, tax returns, and VAT submissions for various clients, including sole traders and companies. They advise on all aspects of financial compliance while maintaining strong client relationships and up-to-date knowledge. This is a full-time position with an option of a hybrid working week. Responsibilities: Prepare annual financial statements, management accounts, and VAT returns for a range of clients Handle corporation tax computations and personal tax returns Perform bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing Support partners in delivering advisory services to SMEs and sole traders Liaise directly with clients, providing timely responses to queries Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax legislation Assist with audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting Maintain accurate, organised, and confidential client records Keep up to date with changes in accounting and tax regulations Qualifications: A recognised professional accountancy qualification, e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA (fully qualified or part-qualified, depending on the role) A relevant degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field (not always essential but common) Up-to-date CPD (Continuing Professional Development) to maintain membership and stay current with regulations Salary is open to negotiation and based on experiences.
