About This Role
CAE Parc Aviation has a requirement to recruit a Borescope Inspection Services Powerplant Engineer in our EASA Part 145 Department on a permanent basis. The position will be hybrid with flexible hours.
About the Job
Reporting to the Borescope Inspection Services Manager, the successful candidate will play an essential role in the delivery of our borescope inspection service.
General Responsibilities
* Maintain a clear focus on aviation safety and team collaboration in accordance with the company’s MOE.
* Collaborating with customers and the Maintenance Coordinators Team, define work scopes and generate work packages in accordance with effective data.
* Support customers and the Maintenance Coordinator group with all engineering queries including OEM technical queries.
* Build reporting and work instruction templates in accordance with effective data as required.
* Perform Duty Maintenance Coordinator function as required.
* Support the day-to-day department operations, performance.
* Prior to archiving, support the maintenance coordinator group to ensure that any work carried out is correctly detailed in the returned completed work package.
* Provide and coordinate engineering support to the Maintenance Coordinator team including out of hours 24/7 on call, alternating weekly.
* Assist the Department Management and Compliance Monitoring Manager in the execution of the department’s internal and external Audit plan.
* Assist the Safety Manager to ensure that the organisation’s Safety Management System functions effectively.
* Contribute to the development of an environment of continuous improvement through group participation on process enhancement.
* Contribute to the development of all staff through the preparation and delivery of subject matter training and mentoring.
* Assist the Borescope Inspection Services Management with the business development and sales effort.
* Assist the Borescope Inspection Services Management in the performance of their regulatory responsibilities.
* Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Candidate Attributes
* Hold a suitable Engineering Degree and/or an EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence or sufficient alternative training coupled with extensive experience.
* Minimum 5 years’ aviation experience, preferably with a minimum of 3 years within an aircraft engine or aircraft maintenance or planning role.
* A proficient understanding of, and experience in, the access and application of effective maintenance data in the generation of maintenance work scopes and supporting work packages.
* A proficient understanding of the applicable EASA regulations and the content of the Company’s EASA Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition.
* Proficient with Information Technology.
* Business acumen and sales experience, an advantage.
* Capacity to multi-task and act quickly to an ever-changing environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Be comfortable making decisions and have the drive to work as part of a team or independently.
