Role Overview
Product Manager (BQA / NATO) Long‑Term Contract, Remote (Europe).
Key Responsibilities
* Define product strategy, roadmap, and detailed requirements in alignment with defense/NATO standards
* Translate stakeholder and security requirements into actionable features and user stories
* Prioritize features based on risk, compliance, operational need, and technical complexity
* Work closely with engineering, security, QA, and operations to deliver features on time and with high quality
* Participate in architecture, design, and security discussions to ensure product compliance
* Perform market, competitor, and domain research to guide product decisions
* Manage backlog, sprints, releases, and post‑release monitoring
* Collect, analyze, and act on product metrics, usage, feedback, and security/incident reports
* Liaise with clients, auditors, and stakeholders to validate product direction, requirements, and trade‑offs
Mandatory Requirements
* Domain & Defense / Security Experience
o Minimum 7+ years in product management (or equivalent) in regulated, defense, or security domains
o Proven experience working on projects for NATO, government, defense, or similarly constrained environments
* Product Leadership & Strategy
o Proven track record of owning product vision, roadmap, and delivery from ideation through launch
o Experience managing complex products in regulated environments with high accountability
* Technical & Security Literacy
o Strong technical understanding: able to engage deeply with engineers on backend, frontend, security, infrastructure
o Knowledge of security, compliance, cryptography, threat modeling, data protection
o Experience in systems with strict performance, scalability, reliability, and security constraints
* Requirements & Prioritization Mastery
o Skilled at translating between stakeholder (business/security) needs and engineering requirements
o Sharp judgment about prioritizing features, technical debt, security risk, and compliance demands
* Stakeholder & Client Collaboration
o Experience managing expectations of high‑level, security‑sensitive stakeholders
o Ability to articulate trade‑offs, justify decisions, and influence without authority
* Process Rigor & Documentation
o Comfortable working in regimented environments: audits, change control, documentation standards
o Strong written and verbal English, especially for technical and security topics
* Metrics & Feedback Orientation
o Experience defining, tracking, and acting upon product KPIs, security incident metrics, usage analytics
* Logistics & Eligibility
o Based in Europe (or legally contractable)
o Willing and able to undergo background / security clearance checks
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
* Prior direct Product Management in NATO / BQA or defense contracts
* Certifications in product management, security, or defense (e.g. CISSP, PMP)
* Experience with embedded systems, real‑time systems, hardware integration
* Exposure to international / cross‑border defense projects
