Ecological Consultancy Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Ecological Consultancy Specialist to oversee individual contracts and ensure the delivery of high-quality ecological consultancy services.
* Sustainably manage and deliver complex ecological projects, providing specialist input across various disciplines.
* Develop and implement strategic plans for environmental management, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
* Lead project teams in conducting thorough ecological surveys and fieldwork activities, producing accurate and timely reports.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior ecologist to contribute their expertise in developing and implementing Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs), coordinating Appropriate Assessments, and preparing comprehensive Ecological Impact Assessments (EIA) and Biodiversity Chapters for EIARs. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering high-quality ecological outputs, maintaining quality control, and driving continuous improvement within the Ecology Team.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in ecology or a related discipline and possess at least 10 years' postgraduate experience in environmental consultancy. Membership of CIEEM, CIWEM, or a comparable professional body is also essential. Key skills include:
• In-depth knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation, enabling effective management and mitigation strategies.
• Strong technical report writing capabilities, ensuring clear and concise communication of complex ecological information.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing and overseeing the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).
