The successful candidate will oversee the management of general ledgers, monthly accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining entries, reconciliations and journal postings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Preparing financial reports, accruals, prepayments, variance analysis and KPIs such as debtors, creditors and stock levels.
* Supporting the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and assisting with scenario planning to inform business decisions.
* Reviewing financial dashboards, KPI reports and ensuring report output accuracy to provide actionable insights.
* Overseeing daily activities of the accounts team to ensure efficient operations.
* Ensuring timely collections while maintaining strong relationships with clients.
* Keeping pricing records up-to-date to reflect market changes.
* Supporting the implementation of new systems and recommending enhancements to improve processes.
* Collaborating with external accountants for year-end statements and audits.
* Managing fixed asset logs, supplier contracts, rebates and other administrative tasks.
Requirements
* A Part-Qualified Accountant, preferably through CIMA or with similar experience.
* Strong Excel skills, particularly with large datasets.
* Comfortable using accounting systems, with QuickBooks being a preferred option.
* Naturally curious and proactive in finding process improvements.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
