Vhi Health & Wellbeing DAC currently has a full time, 2 year fixed term contract role for the position of Urgent Care Physician. The core of the role is to provide excellent clinical care in a manner that is patient‑centred and with the highest quality standards.

What will you do
Provide care to patients presenting with a range of urgent care presentations
Treat patients who attend the clinic for consultation, aged from 12 months
Minor injuries; including sprains, fractures and wounds
Minor illnesses
Initial interpretation of x-rays and ECGs
Facilitating referrals to ED / specialists where indicated
Education & Experience
Registered with the Irish Medical Council.
Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in general practice and a minimum of 2 years recent urgent care / emergency medicine experience.
Training in emergency medicine, general practice or other postgraduate qualification would be highly beneficial.
6 months experience with paediatric patients is desirable.
Flexibility across a 7-day roster.
