A highly skilled Design Engineer is required to oversee upgrade projects and design work for metered distribution networks and existing assets.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and Development: Develop and enhance assets within the metered distribution network and other existing assets as required.
* System Optimisation & Risk Management: Identify and implement process optimisation initiatives to improve system efficiency, conduct system analysis and feasibility studies for improvements and expansions, assess and mitigate risks associated with metered distribution assets.
* Maintenance Strategy & Troubleshooting: Establish long-term maintenance strategies to enhance system reliability, develop and oversee maintenance schedules for metered distribution networks, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system performance.
* Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee upgrade projects on existing sites within the metered network and other company assets as required, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Profitability Assessments & Financial Optimisation: Conduct profitability assessments for existing assets and evaluate investment requirements for new projects and upgrades, optimise asset performance to maximise cost efficiency and profitability.
Requirements
* Qualifications & Experience: A bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent, a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience, preferably within gas distribution or energy sectors, knowledge of process safety, distribution networks or related infrastructure preferred.
* Technical & Soft Skills: Understanding of engineering principles, ability to analyse technical systems for optimisation and troubleshooting, problem-solving skills with a proactive approach, strong communication skills, proficiency in engineering design software and industry-standard tools.
