Role Description
Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving utility-scale solar and storage projects from origination through feasibility, planning, grid connection, and ultimately to Ready-to-Build stage. This includes leading design, environmental, planning and grid processes; managing consultants and stakeholders; navigating the Irish permitting and grid connection processes; and ensuring each project progresses in line with Circal's development strategy and timelines.
Qualifications
* Degree in Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, Geography, or related field; postgraduate qualification an asset.
* 5+ years' experience in renewable energy development, ideally solar or onshore wind.
* Strong understanding of the Irish planning system, environmental assessments, and grid connection processes (EirGrid/ESB Networks).
* Experience leading multidisciplinary consultants and managing complex permitting processes.
* Comfort with GIS, feasibility tools, and project management platforms.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of development economics (LCOE, yield analysis, grid constraints).
* Proven ability to collaborate with landowners, communities, regulators, and statutory bodies.
* Excellent team player with a track record of relationship building at all levels.
* Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
