The Manager, Alternative Investments will be r esponsible for managing the Alternative Investments group, including conducting the performance management process and providing input for staff and disciplinary actions.
Additionally this role will provide SME (Subject Matter Expertise) support for to our large clients in the region and will engage with new business, sales and RFP (Request for Proposal) and a BAU (business as usual) operations for IOO (Investment Outsourcing Operations) .
This role also will take on responsibility to support the expanding LTAF/LTIF Semi liquid structure support in the EMEA region with having local presence of expertise supporting our growing business within Alternatives .
Additional responsibilities include:
1. Develop ing and maintain ing specific subject expertise and advis ing businesses management, and relevant third parties .
2. Provid ing advice to internal clients on the implications of business trends, issues, operating environment changes and firm or business unit strategy .
3. Responsible for interacting with various business areas to determine automation needs and provide ongoing systems support.
4. Maintain ing risk management andpliance programs and activities for the assigned group
The ideal candidate should have a fair amount of the following skills & experience :
5. The Ideal candidate should have a strong background in private debt, syndicate loan and Alternative investment products.
6. I n-depth knowledge of business unit / function
7. Prior experience provid ingprehensive, in-depth consult ation and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level
8. Prior experience c onduct ing performance management and career development processes, provides input for staffing and disciplinary actions and provides hands-on training to staff
9. Prior experience d evelop ing periodic goals, organizes the work, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities, and ensures timely and accuratepletion of the work
10. Excellentmunication skills: verbal, non-verbal and written
11. Analytical and problem solving skills
12. Knowledge of Capital Markets with exposure to Private Equity/ Valuation Reporting/ Reconciliations would be an advantage
13. A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required
14. Extensive exposure to Securities Operations, with prior experience in Alternative Assets domain is preferred
15. Experience of working with Risk, Audit andpliance to ensure that the overall organizational objectives are met
