Job descriptionPosition: Accommodation Assistant/General OperativeBlackrock College is looking for an Accommodation Assistant whose primary responsibilities will include maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school. Each Assistant is responsible for an area and will be expected to clean to the frequency and standard set out.You will be working in a nice and pleasant environment where all members of the staff support and help each other. We offer paid Sick Leave, Maternity Leave, pension scheme and lunches. We are looking for a staff member who wants security and permanency.Position Type: This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday (9pm - 5.30pm)Duties and Responsibilities:Cleaning designated parts of the school siteVacuuming carpeted areas and washing floors of cloakrooms and toilets in designated areasSweeping uncarpeted areasEmptying and cleaning binsSpot cleaning of spillagesCleaning desks, seats and skirting boardsCleaning toilet areas and replenishing toiletriesCleaning doors and windowsChecking stock levels of cleaning materialsReport all defects/hazards immediately to the caretaker or supervisorAny other appropriate duties as required by the Accommodation ManagerSkills and experience you will need:A reasonable level of fitnessPunctual, reliable and trustworthyAble to manage time effectivelyAbility to work both alone and in a teamAwareness of health and safety proceduresEntry requirementsPermission to work full-time in Ireland.
