This role offers excellent long-term career opportunities, exposure to high-profile projects, and the chance to work with leading technologies in the European power sector.Role OverviewAs a Medium Voltage Cable Jointer, you will be responsible for the installation, jointing, and termination of MV power cables on a range of utility, industrial, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects. The role requires a high level of technical competence, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out MV cable jointing and terminations in accordance with manufacturer instructions, industry standards, and project specificationsWork on polymeric (XLPE) and, where applicable, paper-insulated cablesInstall straight joints, transition joints, and terminations for indoor and outdoor applicationsEnsure all work complies with relevant European standards, client requirements, and company proceduresPerform pre-commissioning checks and support testing activities where requiredComplete accurate job documentation, test records, and as-built informationMaintain a strong focus on health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance at all timesLiaise professionally with site supervisors, engineers, clients, and other tradesSupport fault repair and emergency works when requiredRepresent the company positively while working on client and third-party sitesEssential Experience & QualificationsProven experience as a Medium Voltage Cable Jointer (typically 10kV–38kV, with higher voltages advantageous)Demonstrable experience working on live projects within utility, industrial, or infrastructure environmentsRecognised cable jointing qualifications and/or manufacturer certificationsStrong understanding of MV cable systems, accessories, and installation practicesAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and method statementsExcellent knowledge of safe systems of work and risk assessment processesFull driving licenceRight to work within Europe or willingness to work on European projects (support may be available)Desirable Skills & ExperienceExperience with major cable accessory manufacturersHV experience or authorizationsFault finding and repair experiencePrevious experience working on international or European projectsAdditional electrical or power engineering certificationsMultilingual capability (advantageous but not essential)Personal AttributesHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipStrong safety-first mindsetReliable, flexible, and self-motivatedAbility to work independently and under pressureProfessional attitude with excellent communication skillsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and overtime ratesExcellent opportunities for long-term work and career progressionExposure to major European power and infrastructure projectsOngoing training, upskilling, and manufacturer certification opportunitiesTravel and accommodation support (project dependent)Supportive and professional working environmentLocationProjects are based acrossEurope, with travel required depending on project location.How to ApplyExperienced Medium Voltage Cable Jointers who are looking for a challenging and rewarding role within a growing European engineering company are encouraged to apply.
