The Role
We are looking for a Conference and Hall Porter to assist with the set-up of meeting rooms, service of meetings and breakdown of meetings, events & conferences within the Hotel, and ensure that our guests experience the highest standards. This is a great entry role if you are considering a career in the hotel industry and full training can be given to the right candidate where you will learn and interact with all departments of a hotel.
*Key Duties And Responsibilities*
* Set up meeting rooms and conference hall for upcoming meetings according to the layout style and requirements requested.
* Ensure that all crockery, cutlery, AV equipment, tables, chairs etc are set up correctly and in good condition.
* Ensure the meeting room / conference hall is ready in time for the guests arrival and any refreshments requested are delivered on time and as per the requested specification.
* Carry out the breakdown and cleaning of the meeting rooms after meetings / events have finished.
* Assist reception with guest requests (e.g. item requests, light maintenance, luggage, TV assistance) and other departments (Food & Beverage and Housekeeping) in the Hotel when there are no meetings booked.
*Who We Are Looking For*
A candidate with:
* 1-2 years experience within hospitality or a similar role is desirable
* Excellent organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work equally well in a team environment and on their own initiative
* Good command of the English language
