Nursing Leadership Role
This leadership role in nursing is responsible for overseeing the home and reporting directly to the Director of Nursing.
The primary objective of this position is to provide strategic guidance and management to the team, ensuring that the home's vision and values are understood and acted upon, and that the quality of service and care is always at its highest possible standard while adhering to regulatory requirements.
* Provide clinical direction to the home and team.
* Foster and lead the delivery of person-centred care to residents.
* Promote the concept of person-centred care which meet the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the residents.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Conduct audits and develop action plans.
* Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of relevant regulations, standards and guidance.
* Workforce planning and employment decisions including selection, mentoring and applying appropriate corrective actions.
* Support and empower floor managers to effectively manage in their roles.
* Encourage, mentor and monitor others for management and clinical decision making.
* Analyse performance from business and financial perspectives and assist to achieve financial goals and objectives.
* Ensure that risks are proactively identified and support the appropriate persons in ensuring such risks are reported upon and escalated appropriately.
* Chair and conduct clinical and governance meetings.
