Support the Planning Team
As a key member of our planning team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient delivery of planning applications and associated environmental assessments for renewable energy projects. Your primary responsibility will be to assist senior project managers and project directors with the coordination and management of all planning-related activities, including design, planning, and environmental assessment requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist senior project managers/project directors with the delivery of design, planning, and environmental assessment requirements for renewable energy projects.
2. Coordinate and manage all associated documents, including EIA and AA Screening, Planning & Environmental Reports, Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (if required), and Appropriate Assessment/Natura Impact Statement reports.
3. Manage the coordination of baseline environmental and constraints assessments and facilitate the interaction between project team members as required.
4. Support the planning team in staying up-to-date with planning and environmental legislation, policy decisions, and updates to national, regional, and local authority development plans.
5. Contribute to company submissions as required.
6. Work with the communications and engagement team to develop effective project plans for the management of consultation with local communities and other relevant stakeholders, including statutory and non-statutory consultees.
7. Ensure that all works carried out under your remit comply with our health and safety and environmental policies and all relevant EU and national policies and statutory requirements.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* Hons Degree (Level 8 FETAC) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent.
* Postgraduate (Level 9 FETAC) qualification in a relevant discipline desirable but not essential.
Experience:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience assisting with/inputting into planning applications and environmental assessment.
* Proven knowledge and experience in project development for planning applications, particularly in coordinating and managing environmental assessments.
* Strong experience working with and managing multidisciplinary project teams.
