This challenging position involves working as part of a multi‑discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team focused on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data centre facilities, and other state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facilities. Projects for our clients include feasibility studies, long‑range planning studies, and full design services including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and services during construction for design/bid/build and design/build projects.
Responsibilities
Production and editing of 3D models using Revit and Navisworks Simulate
Clash detection within complex models across multiple disciplines
Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project goals.
Coordinate and collaborate in real time with other disciplines such as mechanical, civil, architectural and process to develop designs.
Independently lead plant design activities as an area/system leader or sub‑leader and coordinate with multi‑discipline designers.
Ensure compliance with detailing standards for structures in steel, concrete and masonry in accordance with BS, EN and international codes.
Use a wide range of Revit and CAD to produce quality design deliverables.
Exercise judgment in developing plans or alternatives and work with teams to assure quality plans.
Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.
Review construction submittals for conformance with the intent of contract and design documents and update 3D models, drawings and documents as required.
Requirements
National Certificate, Diploma or Ordinary Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (FETAC Level 6/7 minimum)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural engineering draughting and modelling
More experienced designers welcome to apply.
Good knowledge of the codes of practice – Irish Standards, Eurocode, and international codes (US and India codes are a bonus).
Experienced in the use of 3D modelling software.
Preferred Requirements
Strong relevant engineering/design experience in industrial/advanced technology sector or large‑scale industrial.
Design experience in reinforced concrete, steelwork, masonry, foundations.
Proactive approach to solving problems with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios.
Excellent English level – written and spoken.
Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients and vendors at all levels.
