Hydrologist / Hydraulic Modeller Dublin (Hybrid) A leading international consultancy is continuing to expand its Flood Risk & Water team in Dublin and is looking to bring in a Hydrologist / Hydraulic Modeller to support a strong pipeline of projects across Ireland and internationally.
This role sits within a well-established, highly technical team working on flood risk, catchment and resilience-focused projects.
Youll be involved in shaping solutions that directly respond to climate change challenges, while building your technical expertise and project exposure in a multidisciplinary environment.
Projects: Major flood relief and risk management schemes typically ranging from €10 M up to €150 M+ Catchment-scale studies and climate resilience strategies for public and private sector clients Infrastructure and development projects requiring flood risk assessment and drainage strategy Projects involving hydrology, hydraulic modelling and nature-based solutions Role: Undertaking hydrological analysis and hydraulic modelling across a range of projects Supporting the delivery of flood risk assessments and drainage strategies Contributing to project delivery from feasibility through to detailed design Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across civil, environmental and infrastructure projects Supporting ground investigation data interpretation and model development Preparing technical reports and contributing to client deliverables Mentoring junior team members and supporting knowledge sharing Requirements: Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography or a related discipline Experience in hydrology and/or hydraulic modelling within a consultancy or similar environment Strong understanding of hydrological processes and modelling techniques Experience with software such as TUFLOW, Info Works, MIKE, Flood Modeller or similar Experience contributing to flood risk or water-related infrastructure projects Chartered Engineering status (or working towards it) Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams Salary & Benefits: € (DOE) + Bonus + Pension Hybrid working model Strong pipeline of technically complex and climate-focused projects Opportunity to work on both Irish and international schemes Clear progression pathway within a globally recognised consultancy Collaborative environment with strong technical mentorship If youre looking to step into a role where your work directly contributes to climate resilience and long-term infrastructure planning, this is a really strong opportunity to explore.
