An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join a well-established engineering services company based in Ireland.
This office-based role involves providing technical support to the engineering team and liaising with customers on equipment breakdowns and technical queries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the service department.
* Provide technical support to field service engineers and customers.
* Manage customer equipment breakdowns, particularly those involving Fanuc and Piovan machinery.
* Liaise with key partners to source support, parts, and schematics.
* Maintain and upload RAMS to customer portals.
* Manage calibration instruments and service documentation.
* Update machinery records in the software management system.
* Collaborate on service schedules and contribute to operational planning.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with plastics machinery, particularly Fanuc and Piovan systems.
* Previous experience in a maintenance or service-focused role.
* Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
* Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
