The purpose of this role is to coordinate and manage engineering projects from Concept Design through Implementation and Handover within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead projects through a structured Stage Gate governance process from initiation to close-out: Project initiation Feasibility assessment Concept design Front-end engineering design Detailed design Construction / installation Commissioning & qualification Process validation Project close-out Resource planning for the project engineering team Preparation and management of Cap Ex applications (local and corporate approval) Develop and manage detailed project schedules to achieve key milestones Budget management and cost control Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, including change control processes Provide regular project performance updates to senior leadership Manage design interfaces between stakeholders, designers, vendors, and contractors to ensure user requirements are captured and delivered Lead equipment procurement and contract award processes Ensure stakeholder engagement and stage approvals throughout the project lifecycle Coordinate Commissioning & Qualification activities Manage project handover, including integration into site maintenance systems Ensure compliance with site EHS standards and procedures Oversee contractor safety and site compliance Promote strong safety culture and housekeeping standards Education Degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering (or equivalent) Experience 56 years project management experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment Key Competencies Strong technical knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facilities Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills Excellent communication and organisational abilities High attention to detail with the ability to manage shifting priorities Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Operational Excellence methodologies (e.g., Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt desirable) Proven ability to manage change within regulated project environments Experience in planning, forecasting, budgeting, and risk management Skills: Pharmaceutical Project Management Project Manager Project Engineer Pharmaceutical Project Initiation Process Validation Project Handover Benefits: Parking
