Multi-Modal Operations Team Lead
What will you be doing?
Lead and support a team managing global import/export shipments, ensuring every movement is tracked and delivered smoothly in line with regulations and best practice.
Create a culture of accountability, where team members take ownership of their shipments—from accurate documentation to proactive issue resolution and cost control.
Drive team performance against KPIs and financial targets, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and commercial awareness.
Coach and develop your team through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and tailored development plans.
Identify training needs and champion ongoing learning to build a highly skilled and versatile team.
Foster a positive, collaborative team environment with high engagement and clear communication.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning, helping build a strong and sustainable team.
Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and empathy, supporting a fair and inclusive workplace.
Strengthen customer relationships, ensuring excellent service and swift resolution of any queries or escalations.
Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and quality across all operations.
Look for smarter ways of working—identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
About You
Experience in freight forwarding or global logistics operations
Previous leadership or supervisory experience (or ready for your first step into leadership)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
A passion for developing people and driving team success
A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
