Candidates must either currently reside within a commutable distance or be willing to relocate to the region. This is a field-based role requiring flexibility and a strong local presence to support operational response times.Job PurposeReporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a mixed fleet of wind turbines.This is a hands-on, operational role focused on turbine availability, fault response, and the safe and efficient execution of all maintenance activities.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Fault ResponseCarry out scheduled servicing in line with OEM and internal proceduresDiagnose faults and carry out repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and control systemsRespond to turbine breakdowns in a timely and effective mannerSupport major component replacements and corrective maintenance activitiesTake a proactive approach to prevent failures and reduce downtimeOperational DeliveryDeliver work to a high technical standard with a strong focus on turbine availabilityEnsure all work is completed efficiently and in line with planning requirementsMaintain accurate service and fault recordsSafety & ComplianceWork in full compliance with WTSR and all site safety rulesFollow safe systems of work at all timesIdentify, manage and report risks within the working environmentInventory & Asset ManagementManage local spares, consumables and toolingEnsure materials required for work are available and properly controlledCommunication & ReportingAccurately complete all reporting and documentation in line with company systemsProvide clear updates to the Regional Manager and wider teamEssentialQualifications, Skills & ExperienceProven experience working within the wind industryTime-served electrical or mechanical engineer (or equivalent qualification)Multi-skilled capability across mechanical and electrical systemsExperience in servicing, fault finding and repairing wind turbine generatorsStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across mechanical, electrical and control systemsGood understanding of safe systems of work, including WTSRAbility to work independently and prioritise tasks effectivelyComfortable working at height and in outdoor environmentsFull clean Irish driving licence (essential)Desirable (Advantageous)Experience on Enercon, Vestas (V52), or Nordex platformsElectrical authorisation (e.g. AT or equivalent)Experience supporting HV switching operationsWhy Join Optinergy?Competitive salary and benefits packageCompany pension, life assurance and income protectionEmployee assistance and referral programmesStructured training and career development supportOpportunity to work across a diverse turbine portfolioA strong team culture focused on safety, quality and performanceGaletech Group are an equal opportunities employer.
