Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Data Engineering Specialist, located in Dublin with some work-from-home flexibility. The role will focus on building and maintaining the underlying data systems that power our AI and analytics solutions. You will be responsible for designing, optimising, and managing complex data processes to ensure that large-scale data sets are reliable, accessible, and structured for analysis. The work will involve problem-solving across varied projects, collaborating with AI/ML experts, and ensuring data quality and performance.
Qualifications
* Strong expertise in working with large-scale structured data and designing efficient data pipelines
* Proven experience in data modelling, query optimisation, and performance tuning
* Hands-on experience with commercial cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Oracle)
* Solid background in one or more query languages (ideally PL/SQL, T-SQL or equivalent)
* Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
* 5+ years of professional experience, ideally with exposure to large enterprise data environments
