About the Role
A well established, multi-site retail and trade supply business is seeking an experienced Stock Controller to join its operations team.
This is a key role responsible for ensuring accurate stock management across multiple locations, supporting purchasing and branch operations and maintaining high levels of stock integrity and reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and complete regular stock cycle counts across multiple sites
Monitor and reduce negative and aged stock levels
Maintain accurate stock records on internal systems
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances
Produce daily and weekly stock reports for management
Work closely with purchasing and branch teams to manage stock levels effectively
Support stock planning and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide administrative support to senior management as required
Ensure stock processes are followed consistently across the business
Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience in stock control or inventory management
Strong understanding of stock management processes and controls
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
Strong numerical and analytical ability
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and departments
Strong communication and organisational skills
Proactive approach to problem solving
