Senior Quantity Surveyor Role
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding commercial team as we continue to deliver high-quality developments across various sectors.
This key role involves taking ownership of high-profile projects, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to team development and continuous improvement within a supportive and ambitious organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial management of key projects, ensuring robust cost control and commercial reporting.
* Liaise with Commercial Manager to ensure alignment on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy.
* Manage subcontractor packages including tendering, valuations, and payment cycles.
* Oversee monthly cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, and risk/value management.
* Support and guide junior team members, promoting best practice across the commercial function.
* Provide contractual advice and ensure full compliance with PWC and RIAI contract frameworks.
* Drive commercial performance through accurate reporting and proactive stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience, ideally in main contracting.
* Proven ability to manage subcontractor accounts and negotiate contract terms.
* Commercially astute, with strong reporting and financial analysis skills.
* Excellent knowledge of PWC and RIAI forms of contract.
* Proficiency in Excel and Cubit (or similar estimation software).
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in decision-making and leadership.
