Elite Talent Hub LTD is a specialist in permanent staffing solutions for clients nationwide.

Our client, is currently seeking a Senior Clinical Psychologist to play a crucial role within an interdisciplinary team, focusing on providing services to children and families with special developmental needs. Responsibilities include assessment, intervention, clinical supervision, and ensuring ongoing service delivery in alignment with Progressing Disabilities Services. Role is permanent, pensionable and fulltime.


Key Relationships:

* Within Organisation
o Interdisciplinary team members
o Consultant Community Paediatrician and Consultant Paediatricians
o Other relevant staff within the team
* Outside the Organisation
o Children with special developmental needs and their families/carers
o Disability Services Directorate
o CDNTs in the region
o Other statutory and community bodies


Duties:


Planning & Managing:

* Organize individual and group caseloads, including assessments, interventions, and diagnosis.
* Anticipate potential issues and take proactive steps to maintain service standards.
* Maintain awareness of budgetary constraints and ensure accountability within the team.
* Monitor, record, and report performance outcomes to achieve service delivery targets.
* Demonstrate innovation in enhancing service within resource limitations.
* Provide psychology services aligned with team objectives and guidelines.
* Supervise and support basic grade psychologists and trainees.
* Promote understanding of psychology's role through consultation and education.


Judgement & Evaluation:

* Make decisions considering administrative protocols and consequences.
* Ensure integrity, professionalism, and ethical considerations in decisions.
* Involve others transparently in decision‑making processes.


Professional Development and Standards:

* Demonstrate clinical proficiency in assessment, intervention, and diagnostics.
* Maintain client records in compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
* Collaborate effectively with service users and team members.
* Stay informed about policy, legislative, and professional requirements.
* Ensure equipment and operational guidelines adhere to health and safety standards.
* Commit to continuing professional development.


Team Working:

* Actively participate in relevant meetings and contribute to team discussions.
* Facilitate staff development through support and training opportunities.
* Understand and promote effective team dynamics and interdisciplinary collaboration.


Communication:

* Communicate effectively through various mediums to influence others positively.
* Listen attentively and work in partnership with stakeholders.


Any Other Duties:

* Perform additional tasks assigned by the CDNM.
* Support organizational initiatives including grants and fundraising.


Person Specification:

* Relevant university degree with honours in Psychology.
* Post‑graduate qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland.
* Professional experience in disability and mental health services.
* Clean driving licence and access to a car.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
* Proficiency in report writing.
* Understanding of the Psychologist's role in disability services.
* Experience in developmental and cognitive assessments.
* Adherence to professional and ethical standards.
* Experience in diagnostic assessments, including ADOS and ADI‑R.
* Experience with Team Assessments/Assessments of Need.
* Experience in parent training programmes and group workshops.
