A dynamic and experienced Veterinary Surgeon is required to join our dedicated team in Wexford.
The successful candidate will work within a modern, purpose-built facility committed to providing top-quality veterinary care.
This role encompasses a blend of Small Animal (SA) and Large Animal (LA) responsibilities, with a focus on routine farm visits, TB testing, and performing standard surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Routine On-Farm Calls: Conducting regular visits to both Small and Large Animal patients.
* TB Testing and Routine Surgeries: Performing TB testing and routine surgeries for Large Animals.
* Comprehensive Veterinary Care: Delivering comprehensive veterinary care across a diverse range of species.
* Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborating closely with a supportive team within a modern, well-equipped environment.
* Shared On-Call Rota: Participating in a shared on-call rota with a neighboring practice.
* Varied Caseload: Managing a varied caseload, with an approximate split of 60% Small Animal and 40% Large Animal work.
Working Hours:
* Full-Time Position: Full-time, averaging 40 hours per week.
* Weekend Rotation: Participation in a 1 in 4 weekend rotation.
* Out-of-Hours Duties: Out-of-hours duties are shared with another local practice.

Requirements:
* VCI Registration: VCI registration.
* Large Animal Experience: Qualified and experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a strong foundation in Large Animal (LA) practice.
* TB Testing Certification: Must be registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland and certified to perform TB testing.
* Confident and Proficient: Confident and proficient in conducting routine farm visits, TB testing, and performing standard surgical procedures.
* Desirable Skills: Experience in Small Animal medicine and surgery is desirable.
