Overview
Global MEAL Advisor role at Trócaire. The opportunity supports country teams to have well-designed, accountable programmes and strengthens programme quality through Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (PMEAL) and Project Cycle Management (PCM) systems. The role involves collaboration with HQ and Country Offices and may include travel to programme contexts in DRC, Lebanon, Syria, South Sudan, Sudan, and Myanmar.
Trócaire is an International NGO working with local partners and communities to address the underlying causes of poverty and injustice. The organisation operates in up to 20 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East and is committed to safeguarding and inclusion.
Responsibilities
* Support country teams to implement well-designed, accountable PMEAL/PCM systems.
* Collaborate with colleagues in HQ and Country Offices to strengthen programme quality.
* Assist in the development and roll-out of organisational policies, standards and tools related to PMEAL/PCM.
* Travel to support Trócaire staff and partners in programme quality activities in listed contexts.
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong technical expertise in PMEAL and PCM.
* Proven experience designing and implementing PMEAL systems in development and humanitarian settings, including use of digital data collection, analysis and visualisation tools.
* Experience facilitating training, mentoring and peer learning; able to review PMEAL components of project proposals and donor reports.
* Ability to collaborate effectively across cultures and backgrounds with excellent communication and facilitation skills.
* Willingness to travel several times a year, including to fragile and conflict-affected contexts.
* Proficiency in French is essential.
Reporting, Location and Terms
* Reporting to the Head of Programme Impact and Learning (PIL).
* Full-time contract for 1 year, based in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland.
