WHAT YOU WILL DO
As an AV Technician, you will support Tier 2 video conferencing equipment and provide ongoing technical support to the client. You will resolve issues related to in-room technology, AV/VC equipment failures, physical malfunctions, and software configurations. Additionally, you will conduct root cause analyses to improve processes and identify trends to enhance service delivery. This role provides Level-2 support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Act as the primary on-site technician with the ability to resolve 99% of issues in rooms.
2. Monitor and resolve automated VC conference room alerts for executive and specialty spaces.
3. Serve as the escalation point for AV/VC needs unresolved at Tier 1 level.
4. Provide Tier 2 event support for in-person, hybrid, and virtual events and webinars (Zoom).
5. Assist with new builds, design support, asset management, commissioning, and testing.
6. Support AV events team with broadcast events, live productions, video switching, streaming, and related tasks.
7. Act as the primary user-facing point of contact for all VC-related issues.
8. Deliver strong client-level support with a focus on de-escalating technical issues.
9. Perform break-fix tasks within target SLA response windows.
10. Maintain and repair VC equipment to ensure 99% uptime.
11. Accurately tag and record all tasks, projects, and requests.
12. Provide white-glove VC technical support for senior leadership.
13. Support high-profile events with VC expertise.
14. Investigate and report network-related call escalation issues.
15. Monitor local and global VC endpoints and related hardware.
16. Train and advise Tier 1 technicians on signal flow and best practices.
17. Initiate Cisco TAC cases and vendor RMAs for equipment.
18. Ensure integrators adhere to client installation standards.
19. Partner with project managers to provision and deploy VC equipment in new office locations.
20. Track inventory of on-site supplies, consumables, and assets.
21. Stay current with industry-standard hardware and client proprietary tools.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
22. Self-motivated and accountable in a fast-paced environment.
23. Ability to think creatively and methodically regarding technical issues.
24. Knowledge of Cisco, Crestron, Extron, Shure, Clearone, and other AV/VC hardware and signal flow.
25. Strong interpersonal, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
26. Willingness to learn and adapt to client culture.
27. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
28. Capable of handling physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and performing integration/maintenance work.
