Join AECOM's thriving Surface Transportation Team in Ireland—a 150+ strong professional network operating across Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Belfast. Due to significant growth fueled by a robust pipeline of major Greenways, Active Travel, and Public Transport programmes, we’re seeking an enthusiastic and driven Roads, Civil, or Infrastructure Engineer with 2+ years of industry experience to join our expanding team.
This is a chance to move beyond routine design and play a crucial role in delivering complex, high‑impact national infrastructure.
Why AECOM in Ireland?

Sustainable & Active Travel: Delivery teams for the TII Luas Programme, the NTABusConnects Programme, and a vast programme of Greenways (>300km) for TII and Local Authorities, including major schemes in West Cork and Donegal.
Multidisciplinary Exposure: Gain hands‑on experience across the entire project lifecycle, from early feasibility and statutory consent through to detailed design, construction support, and contract administration.
Structured Career Progression: We are deeply committed to your professional trajectory. The successful candidate will be actively supported on their path to achieving Chartered Engineer status (IEI/ICE) in the coming years, benefiting from:
Mentorship and coaching from our global delivery experts.
A team who has had 4 successful CEng applications in the past 12 months.
Formal technical, project management, and leadership training through AECOM University.
Exposure to client account management and work‑winning processes to broaden your professional scope.
Flexibility & Culture: You would be joining an energetic and dynamic team where we actively embrace our "Freedom to Grow" policy, offering genuine hybrid working options and flexible arrangements to ensure a healthy work‑life balance. We prioritise candidates with the right behaviours and drive over specific current skillsets, investing significantly in training the next generation of engineers.
