About the Role
We are seeking suitably qualified Social Care Workers to join our Residential Services team on a full-time and part-time permanent basis in County Limerick.
Key Responsibilities
* Resident Care: Support service users with daily personal care, social, and emotional needs. Promote dignity, independence, and respectful relationships.
* Community Integration: Encourage meaningful community involvement and leisure activities. Support service users to access services and participate in events.
* Household Management: Assist with daily household tasks, including budgeting, cooking, shopping, and maintaining a clean environment.
* Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medication and maintain accurate records.
* Record Keeping: Complete reports and maintain service user records according to organisational policy and HIQA standards.
* Visitor Engagement: Foster a warm atmosphere for families, friends, and visitors.
* Health & Safety: Ensure proper use of aids and appliances. Adhere to fire safety procedures. Report incidents and faulty equipment promptly.
* Leadership: Support staff induction, supervision, and development. Coordinate and review individual support plans.
Requirements
* A recognised qualification in Social Care or a related discipline.
* Experience working in intellectual disability services is desirable.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
