Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing research projects, conducting data analysis, and providing statistical support to the organization.
The Research Manager will work closely with the Data and Country Teams to design quantitative surveys and qualitative interview guides, perform cognitive testing and piloting of data collection instruments, and develop and support ongoing monitoring and evaluation plans.
The role also involves working with Field Operations to initiate evaluations of non-experimental projects, performing data quality checks, and conducting primary data analysis for internal and externally funded projects.
In addition, the Research Manager will be responsible for writing high-quality reports, supporting internal and external stakeholders, and conducting literature reviews as requested.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Master's degree in Economics or related field
* At least 3 years of experience in research and development work
* Strong understanding of economic development and drivers of poverty reduction
* Demonstrated experience in quantitative research methods and data analysis
* Expertise in relevant software tools (R, Stata, SurveyCTO)
* Experience in experimental/quasi-experimental research studies (e.g., RCT, RDD, PSM designs) is an advantage
* Qualitative research skills, including interview guide development and focus group discussions
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Project management experience and knowledge synthesis skills
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience. The base salary for this role is $81,400 in the United States, £55,600 in the UK, and $48,000 in Kenya. This role is fully remote, so we will share an estimated salary benchmark for your location during the hiring process.
