Construction Buyer - equipment & tooling This company builds & manages complex engineering & construction projects for clients globally.
In this role your responsibilities will be : - .
To buy & hire equipment, materials & services for assigned construction projects.
Be responsible for procurement to pay process from sourcing to assisting with invoice clearance for supplier sourcing & negotiations To secure the quality &timely delivery of goods and/or services required for assigned projects.
Conduct bid analysis & processing of purchase orders Create Procurement Schedules with project teams & planning function.
Liaise with suppliers & accounts payable team regarding invoice queries Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities Maintain Procurement Schedules with project teams & planning function.
Build relationships with internal & external stakeholders such as sites & suppliers Negotiate vendor alliances & rebate agreements.
Assist in the reallocation or disposal of excess materials.
Conduct site visits to meet with project teams with some EU travel required.
Essential : Experience in a similar role within an engineering or construction company buying plant equipment, tooling etc.
Excellent negotiation & communication skills, both written & verbal.
Work well as part of a team .
Ideally a 3rd level qualification preferably in supply chain or other related discipline.
Previous SAP experience.
