Lead Accountant:
My client, a Dublin based Accounting practice Tax, Advisory has an immediate requirement for a Lead Accountant to key on a key role within the organisation managing a portfolio of clients and providing mentorship and leadership to more junior team members
Location: South Dublin
Hybrid role with 4 days per week onsite and 1 day per week remote working.
Salary and Benefits: A highly competitive fixed salary will be offered depending upon experience plus benefits (hybrid working, pension, parking).

The Opportunity:
You will join a well-established team in a growing organisation and take on ownership of a portfolio of the companies key clients due to a senior member of the team moving on to a new opportunity.
You will provide consulting services across a range of core accounting requirements to the client portfolio as well as new clients as required.
Core Responsibilities:
Direct responsibility for a portfolio of clients across various sectors.
Build and maintain strong ongoing client relationships.
Review work prepared by accounts assistants including bookkeeping, payroll and VAT returns.
Prepare and review management accounts and financial statements in accordance with
Oversee tax compliance for clients, including personal and corporate tax returns.
Prepare financial projections and other ad hoc reports for clients.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting for all client deliverables.
Mentor, coach, develop and provide support as needed to more junior members of the team where required.
Required Skills and Experience:
Qualified with ACCA or ACA is an essential requirement for this role and only candidates with these qualifications will be considered.
Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in a small to medium sized accounting practice.
Practice experience is an essential requirement.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards.
Strong tax knowledge and experience including VAT, RCT, Corporation Tax and Income Tax.
Knowledge of tax incentives including R&D Tax Credits will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of the payroll process.
Embraces technology with strong knowledge of accounting software.
Xero experience will be an advantage.
Required Soft Skills and Personality Profile:
First rate client engagement and senior stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication and general presentation skills.
Experience working with SME decision makers and providing accounting solutions in this sector in the local market
Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of a range of tasks concurrently.
Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
