Senior Construction Project Manager
A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team in the South West of Ireland.
This is an exciting chance to work with a prominent contractor on multiple projects across Kerry and Cork, ranging from €500K to €5M. As a key member of the project management team, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring construction drawings, specifications, and work requirements.
You will liaise with the design team to ensure works are completed according to the programme and work closely with architects to overcome any issues that may arise during the construction of the project. Additionally, you will report to and support the Project & Contracts Manager to ensure smooth completion of the project.
Your responsibilities will include updating senior management, finance teams, and directors on the progress of the project, managing unforeseen delays in a timely manner, and ensuring minimal impact on the overall delivery of the project. You will also direct and manage personnel, site staff, and subcontractors, as well as coordinate weekly progress meetings, workshops, and plan actions.
An essential requirement for this role is a degree in Construction Management or a similar third-level qualification, preferably with a trade qualification. A proven record of managing the successful delivery of residential housing projects, including Timber Frame or Traditional Build Houses, is also necessary.
You should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in construction project management, with excellent IT skills, knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint, and good digital and visual presentational skills.
