Job Description
The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing new and replacement parts from current suppliers, as well as identifying opportunities to expand our product range. Key responsibilities include:
* Sourcing high-quality products at competitive prices
* Negotiating with suppliers to ensure best value and delivery agreements
* Maintaining excellent relationships with all suppliers
* Analysing sales trends and figures to inform buying decisions
* Communicating product specifications and pricing effectively
* Managing large amounts of data and dealing with follow-ups and confirmations
* Liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product delivery
* Understanding international shipping rules and customs procedures
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need a proven track record in a busy sourcing or purchasing environment. Essential skills include:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Proven ability to work under pressure and manage workload
* Supply chain management or Purchasing management qualification would be an advantage
