The Role: The successful candidate will work closely with the Network and In Home commercial team to ensure efficient management of project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting. The role requires someone who is highly organised, has strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities, is naturally inquisitive and has a proactive approach to improving processes and developing new ways of reporting.
Responsibilities
* Working collaboratively and liaising with project teams to support data analysis requirements across operational, financial, fleet and labour metrics.
* Designing and delivering accurate and timely data reports.
* Tracking and management of key metrics and KPIs for project teams.
* Designing and developing high-quality dashboards and analytical tools to deliver clear, actionable insights.
* Applying knowledge of metrics, contributing to discussions on establishing relevant KPIs.
* Partnering with internal project teams to provide SME level support and training as needed.
* Communicating clearly and effectively with all levels of the business (internally and externally).
* Conducting thorough analysis of business processes, data, and performance to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
* Project performance monitoring and reporting variances against the project’s budget.
* Producing quality documentation to support onward communication to key stakeholders.
* Ensuring internal project controls are in place and operating effectively.
Financial analysis and reporting
* Supporting financial decision making with analysis.
* Reporting – key inputs to be supplied to finance team as per finance timelines.
* Reviewing and finalising monthly finance reports.
* Developing KPI and exception reporting for projects to provide better analysis to management and project teams to drive improvements.
* Revenue assurance - auditing of billing processes & systems to ensure all work completed is accurately invoiced and revenues reflect the invoiced amounts.
Requirements
* Experience of working in a busy finance or commercial department in a construction company.
* Experience in business data analysis.
* Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
* Proficiency in using reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau for creating dashboards and reports (an advantage).
* Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask on various projects.
* Confident self-starter with a can-do attitude and flexible approach to work.
* Ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
