Overview
An exceptional opportunity for an experienced EHSSpecialist to join the Environmental Health & Safety team.
You will provide technical guidance to the site as wellas ongoing projects to ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirementsrelated to safety as well as our company's corporate standards, policies,procedures and guidelines and industry best practices.
Requirements
RequiredExperience and Skills:
* +7 years of EHS, Engineering, or Operational experiencein chemical, pharmaceutical, biochemical, petrochemical, or process relatedindustry.
* In Depth Knowledge of Irish H&S and EnvironmentalLegislation and regulations
* High Risk Work program (Electrical safety, LOTO, Hotwork, confined space etc) and Contractor Management experience beneficial
* Ability to maintain focus on key goals and priorities,but also analyse the detail to facilitate problem resolution and ensure projectsuccess
* Proven record of success in the EHS sector.
* Experience on supporting multiple activities/projects.
* Experience in managing and implementing change.
* Strong ability to influence others across departments andat all levels of the organization.
* ‘Safety First’ mind-set. Desire to protect employees andenvironment.
Responsibilities:
* SME support in General Safety and High Risk WorkPrograms.
* SME support in Environmental Programs (Air, water,waste).
* Provide safety support for new ongoing and new projects
* Participate in local safety teams, audits andinspections, incident investigations, and other safety programs as required.
* EHS representative for risk assessments, changemanagement impact assessments, training delivery, and contractor management.
* EHS Assessment and auditing of EHS process and systems inline with Global Safety and EnvironmentStandards.
* Report out weekly to management and department teams onKPIs in line with EHS objectives/targets (planned vs. actual performance
* Serve as a leader in demonstrating and implementing astrong EHS culture across the site
* The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate aproven track record to influence others, have strong knowledge of safetyprograms and be a convincing communicator with strong interpersonalskills.
* The ideal candidate is a self-directed, technicallystrong individual who can work in a multi-functionary team environment.
MinimumEducational Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or relatedSafety or Environmental field of study.
