My client – a public sector body in Portlaoise requires a Clerical Officer to join their team. This is a full-time temporary position supporting both front-of-house operations at reception (3 days per week) and administrative functions within the Corporate Services team (2 days per week).

Key Responsibilities:
Reception Duties (3 Days per Week):
1. Welcoming visitors and managing front desk enquiries.
2. Answering and directing telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
3. Managing incoming and outgoing mail.
4. Booking meeting rooms and coordinating visitor appointments.
5. Maintaining a tidy and professional reception area.
Corporate Admin Support (2 Days per Week):
6. Assisting with general office administration tasks.
7. Preparing, formatting, and distributing documents and reports.
8. Maintaining accurate records and filing systems.
9. Supporting data entry and database management.
10. Assisting with meeting preparation and minute taking, as required.
Essential Requirements:
11. 2 years clerical or administrative experience.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
13. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
14. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
16. Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
