Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist - Tissue Viability, Dublin
We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Tissue Viability for a leading hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Continuously assess and monitor the function of the Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist to develop professional scope of practice.
* Participate in team discussions on treatment needs where appropriate.
* Create and revise policies and processes adhering to accepted best practices.
* Collaborate with the diverse clinical team to address patient requirements and those of their families.
* Exhibit creative practice in care delivery according to the Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives 2025, providing high levels of clinical and professional leadership.
* Promote best practices, coordinate educational activities with the Nurse Practice Development Unit (NPDU), and ensure continuous professional development of nursing professionals.
* Develop and oversee educational and support initiatives for medical staff, patients, and their families.
Requirements:
* Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or eligible to register with NMBI.
* Tissue Viability Graduate Diploma.
* Five years of acute hospital experience within seven years after registration.
* Formally recognised post-registration training at level 9 (Graduate diploma or honours degree) relevant to specialist practice.
* Experience in management is preferred but not required.
* Prior experience working in a multi-professional setting; IT proficiency is essential.
