Key Responsibilities
The team lead is accountable for the daily management of a team, ensuring an efficient and responsive service to clients while maintaining full compliance with internal controls and procedures.
* Manage day-to-day supervision of the team, monitoring and tracking activity against shared mailboxes;
* Identify key priorities within the team on a daily basis and assign tasks accordingly to ensure delivery of all tasks;
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, escalating issues when required;
* Liaise closely with the AML team, reviewing and monitoring anti-money laundering documentation in line with policies and procedures;
* Reconcile and verify all incoming and outgoing investor cash monies against investor documents for source of funds;
* Participate in weekly client calls, providing updates on key focus areas such as upcoming activity planning and investor cash-related updates;
* Develop knowledge of Private Markets and report required – Investor Closes, Distributions, and Capital Calls;
* Manage day-to-day performance of the team, one-to-one meetings, and annual performance cycle, ensuring development and review of staff against goals;
* Act as a point of escalation for the team for technical and client queries, providing a swift service to investors;
* Foster awareness of risk within the team;
* Improve team productivity through process improvements and automation where applicable;
* Have comprehensive knowledge of systems required to lead a Private Markets Transfer Agency team (ISS, Investran, Investor Portal, MYSS, and AIS My View);
* Participate in department-wide training efforts, drafting and delivering training courses, and facilitating 'on-the-job' training.
As part of this role, you will take on a review function, including trade, cash, EOD, reporting checklists, and online e-checklists. You will be accountable for the reviews completed on work done by A1s and A2s.
Relationships
* Subordinates: Engage in one-to-one meetings with direct reports, coach team members, and act as a point of escalation;
* Superiors: Provide support for managers and regular status updates;
* External: Build client and investor relationships, ensuring deliverables are met.
Requirements
* Third-level qualification and/or 2 years' level experience in the financial services industry;
* Client Service experience preferred;
* Private Markets knowledge preferred;
* Ability to work to tight deadlines, multi-task, and work calmly under pressure.
