Job Title – Software Engineer (AEM)
Location: Ireland, Dublin
This is a phenomenal opportunity for a Software Engineer (AEM) to help build, lead, and scale SIE’s Martech engineering team. The role is responsible for the development of PlayStation.com and the delivery of internal and consumer‑facing web applications. The ideal candidate is a highly effective AEM developer who participates throughout the software development lifecycle, works closely with architects, developers, quality engineers, and DevOps, and delivers assigned tasks on time while escalating issues and providing technical guidance.
What You'll Be Doing

Play a vital role in the development, design, testing, and deployment of AEM Assets and Sites, as well as Adobe Marketing Cloud tools.
Share new concepts, strategies, or innovative approaches that significantly impact the project.
Provide deep knowledge of AEM and working knowledge of Adobe Target and Analytics.
Ensure development follows web best practices including UX, SEO, A/B testing, and performance optimization.
Use strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and code reuse.
Troubleshoot issues, provide fixes, suggest changes for operability, and maintain existing solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers.
Ensure software adheres to best practices and quality standards through code and design reviews.
Apply an AI‑first experimentation mindset to rapidly iterate on technical proof‑of‑concepts, assessing and validating business value outcomes.
Collaborate with Product Owners to align technical solutions with business requirements and defined processes.

What We're Looking For

BS or MS degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience in software engineering.
A combination of technical, leadership, and strong product development background.
6–8 years of recent and progressive experience in AEM Content Management and AEM developer tools.
Strong experience with AEM building blocks (templates, components, dialogs, widgets, bundles).
Experience using AI‑powered technologies to optimize code quality and development lifecycles.
In‑depth knowledge of Experience fragments, Content fragments, and SPA.
Experience migrating AEM Sites and Assets to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) including planning and execution.
Ability to refactor legacy AMS code for cloud compatibility and meet Cloud Manager quality gates.
Familiarity with Java concepts and patterns (Java/J2EE, JSP, Sling, web services, JUnit, MVC, Eclipse, Maven).
Expertise with Adobe Experience Cloud implementations and enterprise customer use cases, particularly AEM as a Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services.
Experience with JCR, Sling web framework, and Apache Felix OSGi.
Experience with project automation technologies (Jenkins, automated unit testing, Maven, SonarQube, Jira, GitHub).
Knowledge of web technologies (Tomcat, Apache HTTP, CDN, Akamai).
Experience with APIs, integrations, JSON structures, and system‑to‑system data flows.
Proficiency in front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS).
Knowledge of search engines, CDN, middleware integrations, load balancers.
Ability to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
Experience working in Agile development practices and Scrum.
Strong knowledge of technical documentation processes.
Flexibility to work with geographically diverse teams and familiarity with onsite/offshore models.

Preferred Qualities

Experience executing projects with Jira or Asana.
Expertise in AEM Cloud Migration.
Understanding of Algolia Search.
Adobe Certified Expert as an AEM Developer or AEM Architect.
Web application development experience with React, NextJS, NodeJS.
Passion for gaming and video game culture.
