Maintenance Manager (Pre-Opening) at Moxy Dublin Docklands We are currently recruiting a passionate & standards focused Maintenance Manager to join our crew at this brand new 183-bedroom Moxy by Marriott. As we prepare for the grand opening of this vibrant new hotel, we are seeking the right candidate to join our crew as Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager will play a key role in the set-up of the Maintenance function prior to the opening of the hotel & will play an important part in the overall management of Fire Life Safety & Health & Safety in the hotel. They are rule makers who appreciate the opportunity for flexibility and learning in their roles. Key Responsibilities: Ensure that all relevant pre-opening equipment & systems training is completed. Assist with the compilation of all relevant information for the crisis response manual. To assist the HR Manager in ensuring that all pre-opening FLS & H&S training is completed & on an ongoing basis as required. Oversee daily operations of the Maintenance function, identifying repair needs, prioritizing projects and scheduling work to minimize production disruption. Ensure ongoing upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, ensuring that all maintenance related guest requests are actioned without delay. Manage third-party contractor relationships, ensuring adherence to SLAs, managing costs & ensuring that all H&S procedures are adhered to. Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies to reduce breakdown incidents, improving plant reliability and overall performance. Ensure thatpreventive maintenance program for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is implemented. Ensure timely repair of equipment and facilities, addressing urgent issues efficiently. Ensure compliance with all health & safety, Fire Life Safety and environmental regulations ensuring that all services, checks & remedial works are completed within the required timeframe. Ensure that all required records of maintenance servicing, repairs, inspections, and compliance documentation are in order at all times. Conduct routine health & safety inspections and address any deficiencies promptly. Monitor and record energy usage to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Implement proactive measures where possible to reduce energy costs and usage. Work closely with the HR Manager & GM to foster a strong Health & Safety culture in the hotel; playing an active role in the monthly H&S meetings. To play an active role in driving sustainability & Green initiatives in the hotel. Monitor and manage maintenance costs to stay within budget, seeking necessary approvals as per hotel purchasing policy. The ideal candidate: Minimum of two years' experience in a senior Maintenance role. Good knowledge of Fire Life Safety, Health & Safety requirements in a hospitality setting. Strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work to deadlines, be proactive and work a flexible schedule as and when required. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
